I have a 2006 3.6L black on black. Looking into buying a fairly new set of STS 18" chrome rims. Anyone seen these on a black CTS? Any opinions? Good look? Go bigger?

Good look but the offset is wrong. You'll get rubbing against the upper ball joint pinch bolt if you aren't careful. It'll be safer to go with the CTS 18's. They are the same design but with a different offset.

I think that's the experience Tomm had. Actually he had other problems as well and had to roll his wheel lips.

I have been looking for CTS 18"s and am unable to locate any. Should I try the dealer perhaps? What do you think?

They will be mad expensive from the dealer...I think they pop up on ebay from time to time

18" x 8" with a 51mm offset. Here is a good thread about someone who has tried to do as you wish to do:

Can you please tell us the stamping on the backside of one of your wheels? I suspect that this info is stamped on the inner rim as the spokes are too narrow for markings. These wheels are great when seen in person, and I would like to add their specs to my ongoing database. Thanks.

I have the 18" wheel package without the apearance package to much cladding for the car i thought. But the wheels look tight as long as you have the fe3 shocks you should be fine just strapping them on

OK so What I found was 18x8J 44
Also I saw Speedline and Italy

Thats what was stamped on the back of the rims.

Thanks for the info! Speedline, an Italian company, also makes the factory rim that comes standard on the CTS-V.
