My friend got an SL500 about a week ago (hes loooooaded), and I saw him today in town. He let me drive it around town for awhile, and wow, this thing is amazing! The exhaust note is beautiful, the seats are probably the most supportive and comfortable seats i've ever been in in, the Bose system is always a plus, and the hardtop convertible goes down in around 12 seconds. I wish I would have gone on the highway and really opened it up

In a few weeks he's getting an '07 Escalade for the weekend, I can't wait to see that.

Beautiful car but I believe it's more of a chick car than a manly car. I've never driven an SL500, but I can just imagine how much fun it'd be!

I've heard many times that the seats on the upper-end Mercedes' are some of the most comfortable ones you've ever ridden in. Is it snug though or comfortable for a taller person?

I'm 6'2" and the seat fits me like a glove. The side bolstering is amazing, it makes sure you go nowhere in that seat.

Did he let you drive it hard enough to make use of the inflatable side bolsters that change with turning force? That's fun.

6'2 250lbs here and I cannot fit comfortably in my friends one at all. When I try to get more leg room it adjusts the back of the seat and gives me less head space. Very annoying. Also driving with your knees in the way is bothersome too.

Maybe you liked it cause the top was down and nothing was hitting your head.

Other than that it is a beuatiful car nonetheless. Your friend got the color of the wheels right, but not the design IMO.

Very nice. I'm still stuck in the 90's though. I'd love to have a SL600 with the full AMG catalog thrown at it. Even though the newer cars are more powerful I still favor the older big body cars. The 500, 560 SEC with Euro bumpers is an alltime fav as is the E coupe. That is a nice car.
