I passed this thing on the highway and decided to snap a few pics myself. I've never seen a stretched 50's anything before, it was really cool lookin'. Prolly belonged to one of those novelty limo companies, anyway here's the pics.

That's pretty cool looking. I wouldn't mind riding in that...

Slap a built 500 Lux Motor in there, and it'd be fun!

Slap a built 500 Lux Motor in there, and it'd be fun!Geez!. All everybody wants to do is slap a 500 in anything and everything. How does one "slap" a motor in a car anyway?.

Ah, it's easy! I've put in and take out so many big block Cads, it's just like slapping it in there, and shutting the hood!

My cousin had a 57 Chevy limo for his wedding. Amazingly his wife hasn't left him yet.

1957 was one hell of a year for american cars! Everything looked so nice! Chryslers, GM's, Fords and.....the independents

When I get married, I wanna use some '70s Caddy or Lincoln for the limo. Like a '75-'79 Town Car, or a '71-76 Fleetwood.

Chad, when you get married, you HAVE to have a Mark IV. That way you'll be getting some "IVPLAY" for sure! What happens after that is up to you....

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

First a IIWAY, then maybe a IIISOME then the IVPLAY with the wife then maybe a VSOME then possibly (depending on the wife) a VIWAY, then after that, who knows!

I actually intend to have my car be my limo. Just hire someone to drive it for me.

That's a awesome bit of body work - the '57 Chevy roof has quite an arc - somebody knows what they're doing with a welder. Thanks for grabbing the shots Dopestar!

A friend of mine in Minneapolis ran a limo service, and he had a '59 Cadillac limo, like this:

He had his painted white so it wouldn't look like a funeral car.

He used it mostly for vintage theme weddings, anniversary parties for old couples, and eccentric rock stars.

I loved the fact that it was red. It looked really cool with the park lights on while it was driving. I wish I coulda gotten a shot of the front but camera phone over the shoulder at 80 MPH isn't all that safe.
