I found the Disc under the seat. It is version 4.0, part number 10389450.
The Disc in my Nav is the 6.0 version. Which is most current? Does anybody need the oldest one?

Yes I do. How much are you asking. I bought my V at an Auction and it was not in there. It is an 05. I am very interested.

Which version is most current, 4.0 or 6.0
I am not looking to make a profit here, just help out my forum brother's here. I would be glad to give it to you.

What's the difference b/t the 4.0 & 6.0?
I have two 6.0 discs. One is Ver6.0 Q4 02 and the other is Ver6.0 Q4 03

Q is the quarter of the year.

The year is the 02 or 03.

Just a couple of years late!

So the 6.0 is more current than the 4.0?
Also, what is the most current version available for my 2004 V?

Also, what is the most current version available for my 2004 V?Version 6.0 with p/n 10389364 is the most recent version for CTS & STS built before January of 2005. In order to run the latest version you'll need to do this http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/tsb/data/pic3660b.pdf the DVD won't work in the radio without updating the software...

Does the 6.0 disk give a newer looking Nav display or more features?
Anyone have screenshot?

I would love to get my hands on the older version as I do not have any disc at this time. Let me know what you decide. If anyone on here has an extra disc I am very interested, please let me know thanks. Perhaps we can work out a deal on cash or some rooms in Vegas for a weekend along with some club passes and cocktails. My number is 702-205-7028. Thanks.

Heavymetals was able to update my NAV unit without me going to the dealer with their accompanying hassles - now it works with the latest version. Anyone local in SoCal ought to contact Heavy.

If someone wants to host it...I can post an iso file of the nav disc and you guys can download and burn to a dual layer DVD. (I use a copy in the car and leave my original at home)

I have not had any luck in "backing up" the nav disc that way.

However, if it works for you, what can I say?

Also, the latest disc that I found that works is the Infinity 6.4 which came out in Oct of 05.

It would not copy on the fly for me but when I copied the image to my hard drive, it worked like a charm...

James, How much is the referenced kit #15269166? On gmpartsdirect it is $488.95 + over $107 S&H, can you beat that price? The local Cadillac dealer wants over $900 for it.

You can order it from www.gmnavdisc.com for $199.00... It is backordered through them so I'm not sure how long it will take to get there...

FYI - $199.00 is less than half of what we pay for it... :hmm:

Last time I talked to them they said they didn't have anything for the '05, and it sounded like they were not doing '05 and back just '06.
