Although it got scant attention, there was an extraordinary event in Washington this week involving the Big Two and that little German owned car company. CBS did a decent job covering it (rare)

The US manufacturers are 10 years ahead in developing this technology. We have the land, the resources, and the ability to create a world altering shift. Currently we import just over 15% of our oil from the Middle East. Imagine if we could turn off those pipelines, and stop financing the terrorists, in 5 years or less.

While in the midst of a major event, the timeline seems to take forever to develope, but 30 or 40 years from now, we'll look back and realize what a good step this was for the US economy, and how little time it really took to materialize. I'm glad to see people are becoming much more interested in E85. The only thing I'm worried about is E85 eventually becoming as expensive as gasoline is.

I sent a form letter to my representatives supporting the incentives for the building of E85 stations. I hope to see more than just one in Albuquerque in the next year or two.
