This might give you an idea as to what the V logo might look like on the grill. I think the Caddy logo is cool but is seems that anyone can get that grill with the logo these days...

BTW, this model needs a lot of work but it is a start.

I kinda like the badgeless grill

I don't think the 'V' looks good on the grill. I've never seen a BMW (in my rearview of course) with a '///M' in the grill or an AMG on a MB. That's reserved for the brand symbol.

I remeber someone asking so I thought I would post this in progress model with the V logo on the grill (before I remodel it).

My Caddy emblem on the grill got hit by a rock and is cracked.

I've got a V emblem laying around ... hmm-m-m ...

I think it kind of squares the front up, of which Im not a big fan...I like the circular Caddy logo...looks good with all the "sharp" edges of the styling. Interesting exercise though

To much V, I like the caddy logo on the grill.

I prefer the original Caddy logo.

Don't think the V logo would fit in the indented space of the grill. You'd need to flatten out that circular indentation to make the V logo fit flush.

I also do not like it....In fact..I've always wanted a simple grill, with NO emblems.

I've always thought the V mesh grill is a unfinished. Why didn't they recess it a bit like the lower mesh grill to give it depth and allow more light and shadow (like the fenestration on a good building)? In this manner you could extend the mesh with the Cadillac crest to the old level of the grill...much better.

I just noticed mine is cracked as well... Dayum! Anyone know that part number?

You know I was real curious to see how this would look...

I figured the Cadi Logo would be on a post to make it Float (I made the post black).

That is it for now. I will post again when I have this model redone as an 06 (that is what I have) and photo real (these are still just tests).

When I'm done I could set it up so that if anyone here in the forum wants to see what a new paint color (or visual mod) might look like they can check it out (consider it my contribution).

That looks good. :) Don't like the "V" logo so much... Keep up the good work!

That looks good, gives it a more aggressive look. Nice job

I don't know if I like the recessed grill look or not. It might look better if the chrome border were black or body color (or it may not, I don't know). Just a thought.

It might look better if the chrome border were black or body color (or it may not, I don't know).

I kind of thought the same but then it would be hard to get it to line up with the little bit of chrome on the hood.

I didn't want to spend too much time on it since I have to remodel the whole thing anyway.

BTW, the chrome really doesn't look like chrome on this model yet (again they are still just tests). The grill needs a LOT of work.

I think when I am done it will look a lot better (with the recess and not).

Here is how the V grill should have looked to begin with:

Notice how it is set-in? Yes, I know it's not a CTS-V.

I think I'd like a bit better if there was nothing including the indentation and blacked out:stirpot:

Food for thought?
