Couple questions on the iron heads of a 4.9.

Does water from a leaky head that goes out the exhaust rust the iron heads and exhaust valves?

Would it corrode the piston or piston chamber?

Does the alum block have steel sleeves?

So, would this iron oxide work like sand paper and cause damage to the piston and chamber?

not really ...its a very light coat if you get anything ...you could do more damage useing scotchbrite to clean everything up ....or more damage running it if it has a blown headgasket
