hey guys you have been much help and Ive got another one for you.
the other day while i was stoping at a stop light the engine kinda didnt want to stop. well as soon as i stoped i taped the gas and then everything was fine. no signs of it anymore. now every once in a while im getting an E30 code. intermitent(sp). my idle speed control motor looks like it is working and im not having the problem anymore. while is the E30 still showing up and the service soon?

Sticking throttle blades??? Clean the throttle body bores and back sides of the plates with a carb cleaner and a toothbrush. You might want to clean two EGR tubes you can see under the plates as well while there. Use a stiff wire and do not worry about chnks of carbon falling down.

Does ISC motor make unusually loud ratcheting noise when you shut down the engine? It might be a sign of a failing ISC motor.

no noise from isc motor. but i will take your advice and clean that and get back with results.

The throttle body plates are as clean as new. silver on both sides which i think might also mean the egr tubes are not clogged as well. the car has almost 112k miles. 88 fleetwood 4.5 fwd just in case it matters. any other thoughts. I just dont understand why the code if no more problem symptoms. also i checked the idle and in park its 750 and in drive 650. sounds about right.

Well.. then the ISC motor is suspect. Clean the code. If it is an original motor, it is about the time to consider replacement (only if it is really bad, of course).
