Doesn't go over.

Is clamped by the connector piece on the filter, then there is a"reducer" that connects the ring to the MAF on the other side of the shroud.

The steel sleeve goes on the airbox/filter side of the MAF right up to the screen like you are thinking. Then the short black hose from LPE fits over the sleeve, MAF end and the filter.

so the steel sleeve does not go over the rubber that is over the screen??
does it just butt it??the lpe rubber piece then goes under the stock tubing and is clamped with the stock clamp??
damn i did'nt think it wasa this hard the first time that is why i want to make sure i am not leaving something out??so there is nothing that has to be removed from the stock tubing??

Do not reuse the factory rubber MAF end that goes to the factory airbox.

Butt the steel tube up to the MAF screen. The LPE hose goes over the steel tube and end of the MAF. Secure w/ 2 clamps. The "free" end of the steel tube goes through the air divider wall and into the filter.
