Hi guy's! I am new here but I desperately need some 390 parts....

I have restored, Polished, Bored and Balanced my fathers '60 Coupe DeVille 390, and I desperately need the center 4 studs for the intake manifold, I also need the washers that go with them, they are very thick.

Does ANYONE have a broke down old 390 laying somewhere that I can buy these aprts off of? I also need 2 more V/C bolts and washers....

Please call me or E-mail me before tomorrow... I'd like to not have to drive 40 miles to search through a bunch of diffrent wrecking yards to find something they might not even have....

Thanks!

Wel, the 390 isn't part of the "big block" family.... but seeing as how there is no 331/365/390/429 section, It can stay :).

To answer the question.... can they be matched up to something else? I would say the best bet is to check out ebay, or maybe some junkyards... tho now these cars are probably not there... you may have some luck finding a ~'65-'67 (tho I haven't seen any in the yards) as they have a 429.... bigger 390 ,so some of the parts may be interchangeable.

You will have much more luck at the cadillac-lasalle club. Check out there website and use the forums... they are all into true resto and originality whereas this forum focuses more on hot-rodding and modding.

I went to the Lasalle place but they are very very slow to respond...
The 390 IS A BIG BLOCK silly! It's the Earlies big block is all, Just not the Ginormous big block the children of the 70's are used to... LOL...
Every 58-62 390 motor in every cadillac I've ever seen in ANY yard across america has had the intake missing... The bolts and washers were tossed... and there are no units near me in Nor Cal that I am aware of....
Thanks guys!

yeah, technically it is a big block.... but when you refer to "big block Cadillacs" it is the 368/425/472/500..... I know, I know :)

Still, the 331/365/390/429 are sweet engines... one day I'll own one, and the respective car :)... '55 Coupe DeVille, '59 anything....
