View Full Version : could someone verify my timing

posted this in the northstar section yesterday, haven't gotten a reply yet and need to get some help before friday as i'll be leaving,

I did the timing the other day in my 1994 sts. Following a diagram posted by danbuc, I cranked the crank sprocket and intermediate sprocket until the dot on the crank sprocket was at 12 o'clock and the dot on the intermediate was at 6 (I never messed with this part so I just had to turn it until aligned)

Then, I set the camshaft pins all at 12 o'clock relative to the head surfaces. I someone managed to get the chains, tensioners, guides, etc. all in and maintain the sprocket settings.

I've taken pics and posted them below. All I want is for someone to verify that this is correct, and give me any advice or beware me of anything else before I go and put the cover on. Thanks much-
