96 Seville with 28k miles. Trunk pull down assembly would not come up. Flipped the latches on the trunk itself, hit the trunk open button, and wiggled the pull down and the pull down came up. When I gently set the trunk down it caught and proceeded to close. It didn’t seem to close tight and the motor keeps running. If I push down on the trunk I can get the motor to stop for a few seconds, but it starts back up. Yes, it has been slammed a few times, but that was months ago and it worked fine since them. This problem was caused by putting a box that was too big into the trunk and trying to latch it.

I did read the forums on similar problems and I will try to figure it out tomorrow. The forum problems were similar, but no one reported a motor that wouldn’t stop!
