Having problem with Check Engine Light, Service Engine Soon. Smog station reports Code P056. It passed emission test but because of light, it failed.
Has anybody had the same problem? Is it costly to fix?

P056 (E056) ........................................ Transmission Input Speed Sensor
Commonly called the $20 part, $2000 deep in the transmision. Infortunately, the trans needs to be pulled to get at it.

The transmission input speed sensor can be replaced in the car. If you can R&R a transaxle, you can do this. Read on.
