Well, at least they are paing up and getting you new rims!!!
The guys car they abused doesn't know, and down the road lets say there is something wrong with it they will blame him saying "YOU BEEN RIDING YOUR CAR TO HARD!" bunch of BS!!! :want: beaglecookie 05-14-06, 08:54 PM This happened in January and they weren't going to do nothing about it. I started calling them everyday talked to the Manager and I was already getting ready to go to the owner. A friend at work knows the owner. Tomorrow I'll find out if there giving me the amount I'm asking for. They don't make the rims I have on my car anymore so I had to find something like them. I'm just going to through in extra money for what I really want. kali_cts03 05-14-06, 08:57 PM This happened in January and they weren't going to do nothing about it. You should probably report it to Cadillac Customer Support if they are being bunch of dushbags about it.... :bigroll: beaglecookie 05-14-06, 09:05 PM I did report it to Cadillac Customer Support and they told me all they could do is take it down as a compliant and log it, but that the Cadillac dealerships are indepentantly ran. So I told them so what are you guys getting paid for just to listen and not do sh*t!!!! I told him he can also log on that compliant that I will never buy a Cadillac again, because there Customer Service s*cks and that Toyota is 100% better. Its all upon the Dealership. Not just GM, Ford, Toyota,ect... I've had very bad serivce with our local Toyota Dealership. I had an Avalon it needed new motor from the word go. What a lemon that thing was, and tons of electrical problems.
And don't even get me started on Ford.. I'll never buy a Ford ever again for my company cars/trucks. beaglecookie 05-15-06, 03:00 PM I had a Toyota that was having trottle problems. Once a year it had to be replaced. The year the warrenty was expiring the Service Manager didn't want to replace it under the warrenty I had to call Customer Service's 800 number, because the way the service person was speaking to me and he refused to fix my vehicle under the warrenty. By the next day a big wig was at the dealership and called me to apologies for the service Manager and he had The Service Manager call and apoliges too. They fixed my car and wrote down in a main file they keep that if this goes out after the warrenty it is to be repaired free of charge. They were probably testing my car trying to reproduce an issue I had been complaining about by replicating the driving environment. :duck:
Well, not really, but the one time I took a tech out to demonstrate a problem I had to slide my car through about three or four hard turns before he saw the problem behavior. Nothing the dealership could do would be any more abusive than my normal driving, short of driving the car into a brick wall or off an overpass. kali_cts03 05-15-06, 05:57 PM They were probably testing my car trying to reproduce an issue I had been complaining about by replicating the driving environment. :duck:

Yeah, but this was one of the DTS Cadillacs, which have a lot of power... and that kid wasn't service guy, he was the bottom feeder (bring this here, put this here)... even the Service Advisor was like holly shit, I hope somebody saw this and gets him for this.... obviously he ain't no rata!!! :)
Horrible to think that someone else is abusing my car, and then the idiot assistant manager would say "well you been riding your car hard!!!" - look at your own fuken people first.... :(
And yes, if it's something you need to show them then I understand but you were with your car when it was done and you probably did it not the service guy!!! ajedwardsjr 05-19-06, 09:11 AM I have gotten into the habit of resetting my g-meter before I drop my car off. Then, I may be able to catch somebody trashing my car. (Of course, the abuser could could just reset the meter, also. But I have faith in the idea that he would not be that bright.) TagApl4 05-19-06, 09:37 AM a "g-meter" i'd be off the charts!!!! But really what is a g meter; guessing it measures centrifical force, but how do u use it when driving/ what purpose will it serve. I could only imagine it being useful if u r on the track. ChicagoCTS32 05-19-06, 09:39 AM It's just a toy for the V guys to have. Doesn't really serve any purpose, but it does make for some bragging rights. BCCADILLAC 05-19-06, 10:18 AM Funny, i have the veiw from the other side, You should see some of the road tests I've been on.........with the customer driving ...........I actually demanded that a Corvette owner pull over and let me out. He made me sick. No kidding he kept stopping and starting so I could feel his car pull under decel. ..............from 130 mph! no kidding. by the way the car never pulled when he stopped. ( both of his hands were off the wheel) at 130mph.
He now lives in California............
Chris ewill3rd 05-19-06, 09:09 PM It measures lateral G's on a turn.
If it's reading high, it's an indication that someone was screwing around, but they could abuse the car without it reading very high.
Lots of guys use leave tracking turned on with the nav system when they drop it off. You can disable that too, but I usually leave it alone. I don't mind if you guys see where I have been driving your car. I only drive them if the complaints on the ticket warrant a road test and then only far enough to duplicate or dismiss the concern.
I am getting to where I even hate sitting in a car.
*sigh*
Never turn something you love into your Job! It really takes the joy out of it. kali_cts03 05-20-06, 12:00 AM It measures lateral G's on a turn.

I understand test driving to see a certin problem that customer has said the car has, but this idiot just went from one lot to another and let me tell you - if that was my car and I saw it, ......................... :horse: dkozloski 05-20-06, 02:58 AM A guy here in Fairbanks took his car to the local Chevrolet/Cadillac dealer for work. The mechanic took it for a test drive and totaled it. When the guy came back to get his car the dealer told him what had happened and also that even though the guy had an upside down deal on the car and owed more than it was worth they had payed it all off for him so he didn't have to be paying for a dead horse. The owner protested that when he came in he had a car and now he was walking. The dealer replyed that they had done him a big favor by paying off the loan. From there they went to arbitration where the decision was that the guy was owed some kind of car. The dealer gave him a dog off the used car lot that immediately fell apart. The dealer wound up scrounging the country to find him a used car just like he had brought in but it took months. This story was in the local paper like a sitcom/serial and didn't make the dealer look very good. About the same time the used car manager for the dealer got fifteen years in the bucket for borrowing money using the paper for junkyard cars that didn't exist anymore for collateral. These are the guys I have to deal with. wait4me6920 05-20-06, 12:10 PM I have witnesses a serice dept. employee taking a customers Cadillac and spinning the shit out of the back tires just in the parking lot next to the Service Advisors station when I was dropping off my car.... :thehand: :wtf:

Think about it, Kali... DTS=front-wheel drive... He was obviously just checking out the brakes!:) kali_cts03 05-20-06, 02:58 PM Think about it, Kali... DTS=front-wheel drive... He was obviously just checking out the brakes!:)
Yeah, I bet that's what they were doin..... :histeric:
Ok, then I was wrong because it was definatly coming from the back wheels (damn I don't know much about cars so it would seem)
Maybe then it was the STS..... :hmm: ewill3rd 05-21-06, 05:41 PM If you have proof and witnesses that your car was abused while at the dealership, don't call Cadillac.
1. Call the Service manager, it's his responsibility to make sure you are happy with their services and he's ultimately responsible for the actions of his employees (in my opinion)
2. Call the General Manager. This guy oversees all the departments to make sure it's all going smoothly, if the SM won't take care of you call the GM and explain your situation.
2. Call the owner. If the SM And the GM won't take care of you it's not really likely that the owner will, nor is it likely that you'll get a hold of him if you have already been through the other two guys, but it never hurts to try and you might get some sort of satisfaction. Also you'll be sure it won't happen again.
Cadillac won't come down on them, they might register the complant and pass it on to the dealership but unless you explain what it means to you they'll probably not give it a second thought and toss it in file 13. gritter 05-21-06, 08:31 PM id call the gm directly... i work at a dealership this kinda stuff happends all the time.. i work at a porsche and bently dealer... Never is it reported though, maybe somebody says soemthing to a service writer but that is veeeery rare..Then the serv writer wont report it because they are usually buddies with the guy that is being told on.. If a complaint of abusing a costumer car was reported to the gm... Well...The shit would hit the fan! |
