How many on here with your sytems have gotten a ticket? There are motorcyles louder than any system that normally drives on the road wtf.. What action did you take?

Haha, Ive only gotten one, but been warned MANY times. A few cops even cursed at me, they were so mad. I gotta get mine re-hooked up, I miss the bass. But now Im more curteous than I was when I was younger about my music.

One time when I was like 17 I was cruising downtown with my friend and we turned it up loud, and it set all the alarms off going down the street, and the cop comes from like 4 blocks back, pulls up behind hits the lights. Pulls us over and sees the car was under my dads name, so he asked whos this was and I said its my dads car, he goes "what the **** does your dad need a car with a stereo this loud for?" I said I dont know. I was VERY polite and he let us go, told me to turn it down or he would take the face to the stereo and I would have to go to court to get it back.

But Ive only actually gotten 1 ticket for it, and that was when it wasnt even up, it just at casual cruising level. That cop was a bag of douche tho. He hit me with every ticket he could possibly think of, even one for my tail light being out at the time. He was just a *****.

I took my Z06 out with open headers once, got pullled over, told the cop I was just "testing for exhaust leaks" and he let me go. I have many truck customer's that their exhaust is very loud, some of the younger people tell me they get pulled over often.

You can break the decible level, by simply turning your stock stereo up all the way.. (even with your windows up) I measured my factory radio in the Explorer and found out that I exceeded the limit. I was standing about ten feet away from the truck. I've gotten tickets before in previous vehicles, I just went to court and paid my fines. I've had a cop tell me to turn down the volume in my escalade.. the only upgrade to the system is the head unit in there, and the two speakers in the very rear of it. However anal it may seem, a law is a law. If you have a seriously loud system, I advise you to purchase a headunit with (ATT) so you can duck the law when you see them.
