the past two days the car has been making a really funny sound when i accelarate and the faster i go the louder it gets does anyone have any idea what this could be.:confused:

Not a lot to go on here . . . . maybe you could be a little more specific?

Yes you need to describe the sound best you can, a whine like gear whine, a his like escaping air or suction like vacuum leak, like a belt rubbing on something or pulley rubbing on a hose. Could it be ground noise from tires to the ground.

Give us a clue....

Did you work or have work done just before the noise began?
Did you look for debri like plastic bag blown into the motor compartment?
Has it affected performance or speed? or is it just a sound?

does the noise increase/ decrease when cornering? if so could be wheel hub/bearings

Slip it into neutral while coasting. Does the noise get quieter? If so it is engine or transrelated. If not, it is axle, wheel or tire related.
