Stopped by my dealer today - Paul Conte in Freeport, LI NY - and found out that my '07 CTS (3.6, Sunset Blue, Light Gray/Ebony, Auto, Lux/Sport Pkgs) was built last week !! I ordered it in the beginning of April. Anybody know how long it might take to get here ?
Dealer also told me that as of now, Sunset Blue is "on hold"...anyone know what that means ? I hope it's not a bad sign...I ordered this color sight unseen...

Sometimes "on hold" means the factory may be having trouble applying it properly, or some other technicality. That, or they're having trouble actually getting the paint from the supplier.

It shouldn't take more than a week or two to get your car from Lansing to Long Island.

Mine was built before it was put on hold...do you think that they would ship out a car that wan't painted properly? I sure hope not...

Probably arrive this week. May allready be at the destination (train yard) or its sitting on a truck enroute to the dealer right now. On my 2002 Pontiac, the girl in the office called and found out exactly when the car left the plant on the train and the destination of Janesville, WI. From Janesville (GM Assembly operations there) it went by truck to my dealer. Its took 10 days in transit to arrive at the dealer.

Do you know the VIN? If the car is built, dealer has the VIN or even the invoice allready. Should be a low number VIN because my info says 2007 production startup was; Cadillac CTS 5/8/06

Last week I was driving by a big Chevy dealer and saw a load of Corvettes being unloaded. As I slowed down for a closer look I saw 2 CTS's on the bottom. I think they were 2006 models though.

My car took four weeks from order date, build date, and to delivery date.
