I'm too lazy to look in my owners' manual.

HOW TO RESET THE ENGINE OIL LIFE SYSTEM

1- Turn the ignition key to RUN with the engine off.

2- Fully press and release the accelerator pedal slowly three times within five seconds.
If the OIL LIFE RESET message flashes for 10 seconds, the system is resetting.

3-Turn the key to LOCK

I hope this helps. Funny thing you asked because I just finished doing the oil change on my Lade. Man did I have a hard time getting the oil filter off. It took me about 1hour just for the filter.

Thats exactly how you do it. I did mine last weekend.
I pump my gas 4-5 times and that turns it off.

I have a tool to get the filter off Jr. You should pick one up. Takes around a good 3 seconds to get the filter off.

I reset mine differently. I do mine thru the DIC. I hit the gas symbol on the steering wheel until I see the percentage of oil life and then hit the arrow key on the steering wheel to reset it. My owners manual says to do it your way. I do know my way works too.

:yeah:

Boombotz and 84caddy are right in how the dealers reset oil life. They actually showed me this procedure. Very quick and simple.
