Sup everyone Longtime Listener... First-Time caller!
Before I start let me just name the basics im driving a
2003CTS which I purchased used at 28,000miles and
now im up to 29,000! Ive had it for about three months
and everything is a standard package, I dont drive my
car through the week but mostly on weekends. For
the past week i noticed a small resonating squeak
coming from the front portion of my car. I can only
hear the low squeaking noise when my car is in a slow
motion forward like under 3 or 4 miles per hour, without me
giving it gas or hitting the brakes... and it cant be my brakes
because im not even applying them? What else could be
making that sound? And secondly it has been raining lately,
here in Miami not sure if thats a factor or not?
Everyone Your Thoughts Please!?

Thanks! its a squeak instead of a crackling sound...the road can be completely smooth without dips and potholes... but it still squeaks a bit... as if I need to put some WD-40 in a joint somewhere! How do I get this washer... ergo install it?
THANKs

:hmm: I have the excact thing you're talking about and that's what they gave me (the TSB).... does it happen for you when you brake as well? it does for me so if yours don't probably something else.... and yes I have a squeak in the front, feels and sounds like it's around the wheels are or front bumper!!!
The craking noise which I was aksing in the other thread is coming from my front passanger side, somewhere around the right front door....
If it's coming from the front door, try a litle Lithium grease on the hinges. If the brakes are down to the wear sensors, then you will get a little squeak from that. You will hear that at crawl speeds first, it will get progressively louder as the pads wear more. If it doesn't squeak at idle, I would check this for sure. Check the belt tensioner pulley. They will sometimes chatter until there is more tension from raising the RPM's. Check the sway bar bushings. Tey might need some lubrication. Just a few things to start with. Good Luck on your search........................Welcome to the forum.

thats just it im not even applying the brakes! So, it could be the rear lower control arm bushing rubbing against its outer rate washer inwhich I could just alleviate the problem with some lube as it says in the document "kali_cts03" provided and what you "B Hoth" suggested. My only question is where is the bushings located and how do i get to them... so i can lube it up!
Will WD-40 do?

Try the Cadillac Faqs section and see if there is the info there. If not post for RobertCTS, he has the manual for the CTS. He might be able to send you a pic or better description.
