I was just wondering if anyone on the forums even has one? I honestly like them but i think they should have put more work into them. I was thinking about getting one and putting a supercharged V6 in it from a GTP, or try to fit a 4.5 V8 from a caddy, wouldnt that be a sleeper! Ah to dream.

It'd be a cool project, but kind of a waste of time (Cavaliers have a tendancy to fall apart)... then again a lot of people call doing anything to a Catera a waste of time too! :disappoin

One of my cars is an '88 Cimarron. I have also often thought of cramming a 4.5 in it, but I'm pretty sure it's impossible seeing how tight a fit the 2.8 v6 is already. I think Cadillac did the best they could with what GM provided them with on this car. considering it is a j-body, it really is amazing what they did to distiguish it by the the time the 88's were rolling out of the factory. they could have worked on the dash design a little more though, but that's my only complaint.

I own an '88 Cimarron. In the past, I've owned a couple of Cavaliers and Buicks, and I've even borrowed (on extended bases) Pontiacs and a Mercury Cougar, and I have to give this Cimarron my vote for the best car I've ever owned. Amazing, too, since I wasn't even looking for it when I bought it.

I really love my 85 with a 4 cylinder engine and five speed stick. BUT the bumper caps, which are plastic, break down and I can't find replacements, any ideas?
