Sure looks like a regular STS-V8 (note the ACC lens) with an ugly bodykit and wheels to me....
I say bulge out the CTS-V, stick in all the extras and I would love to see it. Goota at least keep up with the German's and Japanese. Too bad it'll be out of my price range dammit!
Oh yeah, and get rid of the f^#king 6 lug wheel offset we have now.

that body kit is horrid

Not sure I like it... is this an empty suit? Will all the added bling allow it to keep up with the new MB's, BMW's or is this all just for show?

It is a STS because of the hood...

These "upgrades" appear to be the product line of D3 Design that I've seen elsewhere on this site, not a GM sponsored effort. From the D3 site, looks like the body panels are all based on the '05 STS-V8 model, not the V-series.
Personally, I don't care for the look at all and am horrified at the thought of taking my $77K dream machine and pimping it.
I really can't see Cadillac getting involved with a factory sanctioned Super-V. It one thing to sell a V that's just a hair slower than the E55, but how do you sell a V that would no longer by the fastest sedan in Cadillac's own product line? We all love the V specifically because it is the most outrageous Cadillac...but would we feel the same if it were only the second most outrageous?

Unless I'm mistaken, Cadillac contacted D3 for the deal. Either that, or maybe D3 contacted Cadillac when they heard they'd be looking for an outside source such as Brabus, McLaren, etcetera. I don't know the whole story. But I do believe the cars will be available in Cadillac showrooms.. I could be mistaken...
Don't worry you got your info right, just check out their site right here.

That car is hideous. From the bodykit to the rims.... what a great idea down the toilet.
All you need to do is bulge out the current STS V a bit... You don't have to go and strip it of all its class by tacking on body kits.
Maybe the performance mods can be had without all the rice rocket wings and air dams.
