I have a 2000 Deville. It came with only the radio and cassette head unit. I thought of ordering the CD chager or getting a non-Cadillac CD unit installed. The NonCadillac unit would take away from the car and would not allow me to use the steering wheel controls without a tacky sensor on the wheel. I have just been lazy on the Cadillac changer. A thought came to me. THE 2004 Devilles HAVE HEAD UNITS WITH BUILT IN CD UNITS. They look like they would fit. Does anyone know if I can cahnge out the 2000 head unit for a 2004 and have everything work. What is the cost? :confused:

As far as i know you can but you need to get an adapter because they changed the wiring in 04' I had the same situation, I have a 00 Deville with just the radio and tape player :eek: but i changed it to a aftermarket Double din. Hope this helps
