Moved DRL from low beams to turn signals (for halogen headlights with HID conversion)

Here is a video of what I did to my non-xenon factory headlamps. I did the HID conversion but didn't want the headlights on day and night so check it out and if anyone has better idea or conversion PLEASE let me know as this was all I could come up with. By the way, I didn't show it in the video but if you use turn signal, one light blinks amber and the other side stays white drl on.

Adding Nav is simple but expensive. There are companies that you can order it from and they just ship you the part programmed to your vin # and its plug and play or you can try to find a used part for far less $ and then ship it to have it programmed which is less expensive but you are taking your chances wth a used part. Either way its just simply a matter of unplugging the old HMI and plugging in the new one with a GPS antenna (I put my antenna under the grill in the middle of the dash as I only have the 7 speaker bose system so it was an empty space and perfect for the antenna). You need an HMI module, with Nav, and a GPS antenna both of which you can get on eBay (what I did but got new, not used).

That's what I wanted to see was the blinker doing the switchback. But I see what you did. At first I thought you meant you mounted switch back LEDS as running lights instead of doing fog lights like you said you wanted.. But you scratched that. Either way good work man. Good Idea for those who don't want daytime running lights. Thanks.

To stop the drl function in the low beams: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forum...arance-forum/618289-defeated-drl-finally.html
Then to have drl in turn signals I ordered: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-7440-T2...Kit-/151704369073?hash=item235248f7b1&vxp=mtr and hooked up the unused headlamp socket to power: http://www.ebay.com/itm/111431115219?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT which I wired to the switchbacks. I used the headlamp socket cause it only has power when drl is supposed to be on and I tapped the side marker as the signal to decrease the drl function (reduces lighting drl to 30% power but other ones can just turn it off if you prefer).
