First of all, I just wanted to thank the group for all of your help! Got my 05 Light Platinum V yesterday. I had a nice 4 hour drive through winding mountain roads to get home. The V was like it was on rails, breaking the 150mph mark and I felt like I could steer with my knee! Ran into a Mercedes CL 65 AMG (600+ hp 700+ lb-ft torque and costs over $200k!) along the way that was ready to play. I was able to run with it through every turn and pulled away a few times...It was awesome! When we pulled up to the toll booth he gave me a thumbs up (I had the temp tag and dealer plate so he knew I just bought it), rolled down the window and said that he had no idea that a Cadillac could take the corners like that!!!!
Anyway, the car is used...so I expected a few problems but wanted to ask you guys if some of these are normal:
- Rough idle. The car idles a little rough. Nothing too bad, but a little bit of shake at a stop light.
- Shake after turning off the igntion. When I turn the car off, it gives a bit of an extra kick.
I think I have the diff whine problem. At highway speeds, I hear a whine in the back when giving it gas, but not while coasting. What do I do about this?
The tire pressure monitor has no display...why is this?
I also had the shift knob assembly come right off in my hand when I hard shifted into 2nd. Is there a way to secure it (screw?) or do I need a new one?
That is all for now...I am sure I will have many more questions down the road!:)
