I keep getting E30 and recalibrated the TPS and timed it with a timing light to 10.5 ish. I got the tps setting to .2.... So I drive it all night and its running great with a minor shake. Figured I needed to put timing on 11 ish and it would be good. (Never did though yet.. Felt like it could wait)

So anyways I goto bed, and wake up and cold start my car. This is the ultimate test because any cold start idling ALWAYS brought the light.

So after thinkin it was fixed I start it up for work and let it idle...and boom, the light again. E30. So I reset it, and it did it again at the first light I stopped at.

Any ideas to make this stupid e30 go away? =(

There is "learning" procedure for TPS after you set it up. You should cycle the key Off -On two times while in diagnostics. Have you done it? And did you set the minimum air screw so that idle would be at 450 RPM with engine hot BEFORE setting the TPS?

E30 means that the idle speed control is not holding at the prescribed RPM....why would you "adjust" the TPS and the timing...???

My first guess would be that the idle speed control motor is not operating and needs to be replaced.

Scroll down the forum and read the items on idle speed control for more info on diagnosing and setting the ISC motor. such as.... http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/ht4100-4-1-4-5-4/65962-little-help-throttle-issue.html
