"Korean Scientists Develop Female Android"

Standing 1.6 meters tall and weighing about 50 kilograms, she can understand others, speak, blink with her eyes and makes several facial expressions. But she is not human, rather an android developed by a team of South Korean scientists. It is only the second time in the world that an android has been developed _ Japan made the first one.

I remember seeing the first article a while back about the Japanese android. Anyone ever read the "Robot", "Empire" or "Foundation" series by Asimov? I can't help but imagine where robots will be in 10, 20, 100 years. And by that fact, what humans will be up to in 20,000? Anyway, science fiction nut, just thought the story was interesting!

It's not Asimov, but what about Blade Runner and the "Replicants" ? (the original release not that director's cut crap).

Made for specific purposes. Combat model, Assassin, Pleasure :D

Met old Isaac in the late 70's, when I was married. He was a dirty old man! Spent the whole evening with my wife at his side. first attached pic shows us (I'm on left, she's between me & him). He was also into limerics at this time & wrote her a couple original ones on the envelope of our invitation.

BTW (no slam on Isaac fans, but), my favorite sci-fi author is Robert Heinlein.

Isn't that the guy who wrote Stranger In A Strange Land?... I recall reading that in high school and laughing at his choice of the name "Smithy." LOL

Do you have a copy of his limerick collection? My dad has a copy. The book is a collection of risque limericks..hilarious. On another note, how about Heinlein's Starbeast? Aircars and abandoned highway systems.
