www.gmpartsdirect.com or www.rockauto.com are good sources. I am ordering my own rotors, pads, sensors, etc. and taking them to a local firestone to do.

I did my own brake job a few weeks ago. I got the pads at Autozone, and decided against replacing the wear sensor. The dealership wanted $100 for the pair of sensors and the best deal I found was $50 for the pair. I went ahead and short-circuited the old ones and reinstalled them. I didn't replace or have the rotors refurbished, but I did find out that if you take them into O'Reilly's, they can do it for $10 a rotor. Hope this helps.

But only if you are willing to take the time to shop. Many times eBay prices are HIGHER than elsewhere, so you must be careful. Just because it's on eBay, does not mean it is less expensive.

If your existing rotors have not already been turned, if you have the thickness, turning them might be an option which could save you some $$$$. New rotors are quite expensive.

I would take it to a good mechanic. Forget the wear sensors, turn the rotors if there is any sign of roughness when you apply the brakes or if there is excessve scoring. Use premium aftermarket linings( e.g. Bendix), OES would be best but the dealers will probably charge way too much.

I got new brakes non oem, better ones and did not replace the sensors afterwards the light will turn on in the dash indicating brake wear i simply removed the speedometer assembly which is quite easy and is only about 6 screws and took out the bulb for the brake sensor i think the sensor is kinda pointless anyways hope this helps -Pete:thumbsup:
