Hello all,

I am looking for a stock none bose radio with tape and 1 disc CD player. I know there have been a few people on the forums that have done aftermarket upgrades and probably have the old radio sitting around. I want the entire unit because i want to be able to put it back in when i sell the vehicle. Some of you may have read already on some of the other threads but i am planning on mounting the screen much like MBAi did by cutting out the tape deck and cd bezel. I am not going to be mounting all the parts in the dash though, i am building a seperate unit then running all necessary wiring to the screen/factory harness.

Maybe what i need to find out from you all is can i get away with just buying the front plastics or will i need to replace the whole thing?? When and if i sell the vehicle i would prefer to take everything with me and put the stock stereo back in. If i am going to be spending this much time and money i would like to take it with me to the next vehicle.

If anyone has one or knows where i can get one cheap please let me know, i want to get this project started ASAP.

I may have a Bose radio multi disc if my NAV deal goes thru. Did they make a CTS with a tape player and CD player?

Robert: The early CTS's had both tape and CD. GM probably got rid of it to save money since hardly anyone uses tapes anymore.

FaithInWarbird: You don't need to get one with a tape player. Just get the radio you can find the best deal on. Decide which of the two radios you want to keep and modify the other one. eBay and car-parts.com usually have a few good deals.

I might have one in a little while, but I am waiting on my GPS antenna from GMPD. I ordered it more than a week ago and it hasn't even shipped yet. My stock radio has a CD and Tape deck

I have a pewter one sitting in my garage, not sure I wanna get rid of it though, would hate for something to happen to my stereo and not have a backup.
