Has anyone removed this trim (2) to expose the area underneath, this is the trim with the(lack for a better word, brushes in the middle) seems to me this is a area where a lot of crap can accumulate and also a place to lubricate, I read the manual and it says heat to 70 F, heck that's less then summer heat, so technology it can just be peeled off in hot weather?
You can take the glass roof off without nothing to do with the area I am talking about. Super easy to take off, unless your taling about the rear one that serves no purpose at all because GM was to cheap/stupid to cut a hole in the roof trim. but keep the glass in place.

Sadly, you need to drop the headliner to get to the attachment screws. Record edge clearances before removal to aid replacement.
