Sorry in advance for making yet another tire post. I have read several posts that discuss this very issue I am asking about, however it seems there are varying answers.

I am looking into Enkie Kapone wheels with Sumitoma tires. 255/35/ZR 20 X 8.5. These tires and rims are slightly used and are being sold dirt cheap.

Is anyone running 255's and if so do they rub? Thank you so much for your assistance...

Scott At a 35 profile, you are probably fine. Someone else should confirm tho.

IIRC, someone on this site is or has run the exact some setup, or 20" kapones on those profile tires.

Make sure to check the offset. If it's smaller than 40mm, you'll most likely get rubbing on the rear fenderwell.

Also with 20" rims do you have to have the speedo recalibrated?

The rims and tire package he is listing these Kapones for is almost to go to pass up.

I think most of the 20 series guys are using 245x40x20. With the 35s you may elect to lower the car to get rid of the gap at the top of the wheel well.
Those 35s will also ride a lot rougher than the OEM set-up.
