Hi all I have been a lurker here for a whille ,I bought a very rusty 76 Devill that only has 78,000 orig miles on it for a swap that never took place(long story!) I am planning a move to the other side of Canada about 2000 miles ,and my old 1981 F150 has a tired 302 and aod tranny in it.......and I have this nice runnin caddy sittin here that I will have to sell off cause I cant drag it out west with me.I need a truck to haul a project car out with me and the gears in my small head have started churning lol! Has anyone ever seen a big caddy in a Ford truck other than the ol 50's f-1's? Despite lots of searches on the net I cant seem to find a single example. The main reason I want to do it is the truck is licensed in my name already ,and this way I would still have the caddy moter an tranny when I get out west.I have done swaps before (Chevy in Ford) am an experienced welder and have to tools and shop to do it in,just cant seem to find out if its been done before and what kind of probs might be encountered. If it was needed I have all the eldorado parts for a rear sump conversion.Theres all kinds of stuff about guys stickin them in GM trucks ,Anybody heard of one makin its way into a Ford???

Terry (cadillac512) over on cadillacpower.com has an 87 F150 w/500. Another guy was doing an 89. Might try over there.

Terry does have some great pics, and I was the guy with the '89, but that has been put on hold for the time being. Mine is a 6 cyl. truck and all I'd have to do is lengthen the elongate the holes in the crossmember for the engine mounts. About a V8 powered truck, I don't know.
