Does anyone know which bulbs i need to change in order to put white lights in the headlights..like for example when you "unlock" the cts.. a yellow light shines from the corner of the headlight..am i able to change this to a white light?

yeah, I am trying to do the same thing. It is an LED size 194 I have been told. Someone gave me a website, I'll see if I can find it and I will post it

http://www.superlumination.com

I remember checking this site out though and it is poorly put together and hard to navigate, I don't know if there is a better place to get them though

It sounds like you're referring to the front parking lights (on the lower inner corners of the headlight assemblies, and they flash when locking the car via remote). Don't believe these are LEDs, they appear to be standard bulbs (i.e. perhaps #194).

I believe the light that is in there is a standard halogen bulb, but to get the bright white affect, an LED would probably be the way to go (especially considering how hard the headlights are to get to)

Check post #11:

I am by no means an expert on this particular situation, this is just what I have gathered from searching the forums and asking a similar question

pmpott and 2004 are correct. The superlumination site does suck, but you need a 194 bulb to put in there. They have super white LEDs that will swap directly in there. I haven't done it yet, but it's on the list...

That same light has all the bulbs you need to do the interior lights in LEDs as well.

These can also be bought at the local parts store. I haven't put them in yet and yhey are of unknown reliability. The brand is American Products Company, the icy hot brand. They are made in Tiawan and say they are for off road only. I don't see that being a problem on such a small light.

That should work fine, but they do not carry the rigid loop festoon bulb needed for the under-dash light area.

194 works for the corner of the headlamps and the map lights. The rest are festoon style. 44mm rigid loop festoon for under dash. 44mm festoon for the rear dome light, trunk light, lower front door lights.

I dont know about the older models but on my 06 the lights under the dash are those rigid loop ones but the ones on the doors and onthe rear dome light are 211-2. The reason i know that for a fact cause i changed all my interior lights to blue onesso my whole interior lights up blue now. Very cool. I like the way it glows at night.

Exactly. All the CTS's are the same. Nothing has really changed on the CTS since inception (except for the 2.8L 3.6L engines and the extra "Sport Appearance" package).

I'll post the thread from the V forum in a minute...

They wont be neon they are actually LEDs. They can change 10 different colors and over 1,000 pattern combinations. My dad has them on his 300C they look so nice. Believe it or not they dont look crappy for a car like ours. I've seen other luxury cars at shows with them on. They look good not tacky.

You have to remove the front bumper to get to the headlights. Its kind of a pain and definately a long process. My first time it took close to three hours but thats because I was taking my time and not going at it 100%. If you really work at it you could probably get it done in 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

Somoene posted that the process can be done without taking the bumper off, but the instructions were very vague and seemed like just as much of a hassle
