Farmers insurance is only tryin to give me around $5000 for my 94 fwb with 71k on it. I really dont know the insurance business at all and i dont know if and how you can haggle with them. I told then the price is too low, and incomparison to kelly blue book, and how much they can go for used, that I was lookin closer to $8000. well he didnt seem he was going to budge....any advice?

Insurance companies use the N.A.D.A. guide (nada.com) and they use the low retail price. Yours is $5075. I feel its wrong but thats how they do it.

I paid $3800 for mine a year ago with 142K on it and needing some little things, far from a perfect car. $5K seems too low for that low of miles.

Tell them fine, $5K and you get to keep the car....

Yeah, last July when my Fleetwood was keyed and I had to get it repainted, the insurance company estimated my 94 FWB at $5700 or so with 95K miles. The price of the repaint got kinda close to totalling out the car (like 60-70% of total vehicle value).

Sad but true.
