I would expect a fuze. Cannot tell you which one. See if your manual does not give fuze breakdown.

i know on my DTS i ehard a loud knock as if someone threw a rock at my damn car...so the while actuator was screwed. This is supposedly a normal issue, with 00-05. Sarant cadilalc claims to acctually stock these acctuators do to the common failure of them. its say to ahppen when it goes from cold to hot very quickly and vice versa.

Tombo47 is correct. This is a very common problem in '00 and newer DeVilles. The bad news is that you have 3 windows to go, yet. The problem is usually precipitated by a loud "crack", which is the cheap plastic brackets breaking in the window mechanism. There is a lot of info in the archives from people who have successfully repaired the problem themselves, but as usual, the biggest challenge is getting the door panel and related components off and back on again. Rebuilt regulators can be bought off e-bay for about $180.00. I recently had my drivers side window go on me on my '2001 DTS. Unfortunately, I was leaving on a road trip the next day, and didn't have the luxury of ordering parts off e-bay and attempting the repair myself. The final bill from the Cadillac dealership was $574.00, and that was after they dropped the price of the replacement regulator from $360.00 to $310.00 after I reminded them how much business my company gives them. Their book shows 2.5 hours labor, so it's not a small job. My driver's side rear door window has never worked since I bought the car, but I very seldom carry back seat passengers, so I can live with it.
Had a similar problem last week with my '97 deVille. The driver's window went down but wouldn't go back up... and of course it was raining that day (why wouldn't it be... :bigroll: ). Turns out it was the switch that had crapped out. $253 for the switch alone. What a rip...

Hey Cadillac Owners,
I'm experiencing a similar problem but not as bad as jaugustavo. My passenger and two rear windows will only go up and not down. If someone wants the window down I have to use the driver control panel. I though perhaps I had not operated the lock out control but again my passengers can let the windows up, just not down. I'm think its either a switch problem or module. Not really looking forward to a $500+ tab from the dealer ship. Any thoughts?

Oh yeah. I just bought a used 2003 Cadillac CTS, White Diamond.
