:hmm: For the past 3 weeks I have been using Nav Disk Version 2.00 for the 05 STS. This morning when I pushed the "I Agree" button A CAUTION message came up and said "This disk is not a map disk". I removed and reinserted the disk several times without any change. I shut down the ignition, opened the door, closed the door and restarted the car without any change. Went to the service dept and the service advisor went with the disk to the parts department. They said I had the wrong disk and said their system showed a different part number ( which, by the way, was the old version 1.00 part number). They wanted me to deal with the Caddy NAV department but I told him I would not leave until he proved that the NAV System itself was working OK They had no updated disk or information in service so we went to the new car department and just as we were able to locate theis version 2.00 disk, I turned on the motor again and my disk read fine. Shut down the motor and started it up again and the disk read again.

I did notice that the disk is turning slightly yellow and any music lover would remember that HYPERION had printed many thousands of music selections on disks which had a bad coating and turned yellow. They ended up with free replacements for all the disks. I don't know if that is the problem here or there was just a temporary electironic glitch (which would not be the first one that Caddy has seen).

I'm putting this out there for information sakes and would also appreciate that if anyone has the Version 2.00 disk if they would let me know if the surface of it is taking on a golden or yellow look.

I had the same problem. Put the dick in and immediately close the screen. Do it before the message appears. It works perfectly.

Sorry about that, DISK. You place the Disk in the slot and immediately push the button and close it. You don't give it time to display any message and it just accepts the disk and works. Give it a try.
