You must be driving up the night before. I'll see you there. I'm leaving from Sacramento at O'Dark 30 that morning.

:highfive:

Can't make it. The wife still needs me after our newborn. Make us V guys look good out there. ;)

I made it back home, it sure was a lot of fun. I met Dennis but didn't have much time to talk because we were in different run groups, when I got off the track he was staged and ready to go out.

His V sure looks great out on the track and I loved to hear Maggie scream, it was almost like she was screaming "get out of my way".

Mine handled very good, the Hotchkis bars definately helped, but the GS-D3's are very easy to over-drive. The morning sessions I started with 33 (hot) PSI and they would heat up to about 41. I dropped them to 31 and they heated up to 37, which I think is just right.

Forgot my camera.:crybaby: But when Dennis gets back he should have some nice pictures of his V, if they are not blurry because of the speed.

Another thing about the GS-D3's or the V wheels in general, it is beyond me why GM produced a car like this without putting at least 9.5" fronts and 10.5" rears on it. The stock size are so easy to break loose at any speed. But I guess I can live with it.

You need stickier tires. Going 9.5 wide in back is plenty. Getting a performance alignment is important too. Do these three things and you'll be amazed how much better the V handles.;)

I've been road racing for over three years, all in my Corvette except yesterday. I have a performance alignment and for my taste 9.5" wide is too small for me, even with sticky tires. These GS-D3's were feathered by mid day. I went from 8.5" fronts and 9.5" rears to 9.5" fronts and 10.5" rears on the Vette and it makes a noticable difference. Granted stickier tires would help a lot.

I probably will not take the V to the track again, I just wanted to test the cars limits, and I discovered them pretty quick. I feel alot more secure on the track in the Vette when I am pushing it.

It was great chatting with you, too bad we didn't have more time.

I sure liked the looks of those Nitto's. Did you happen to notice what your G Meter read after Thunderhill?

I forgot to reset it after Laguna, so I didn't go over 1.25R/1.19R.

5 track events on my Nitto's and still look good. LS seems to be easy on tires for me, TH not too bad, SP was hard on LF.

After Thunderhill my G Meter read 1.22/1.25. I was very surprised considering I had the GS-D3's.

It was sure fun.
