I just purchased a 2000 Deville DTS w/103000 miles. The car drives nice and seems to have good acceleration and braking. However, there are some problems with with the car.

Here are the problems that exist:

#1 Traction Control light stays on for extended periods, but sometimes stays off
#2 The (driver side) rear window does not go down (a click is hear when button is pressed)
#3 Rear vents blow hot air when A/C is on. Possible that a previous post touches on the fix: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-deville-1985-2005-including-1985/36634-rear-c-blows-hot-2000-deville.html

I have read the codes and being new to this car, I don’t know where to start. If someone could help place the codes to the problem and help diagnose the root cause of it, I would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance.

This one may be refering to the the brake lamp switch mounted at the top of the brake pedal.

PCM 1617 – Engine Oil Level Switch Circuit
Pretty self explanatory. Connector may be oily. Clean it good before replacing it.
