yes, just keep all your mp3 or aac files, in a seperate folder so when you uninstall itunes they will not go with it. then when you reninstall itnes just add the folder you made to your library. if your still afraid of loosing your files you paid for, like always its good to make a back up of your purchased music, so if you have a dvd-r drive just burn them to a dvd so you will have them incase of anythign, Like a computer crash or power surge, if not it will only be about 5 cd-r's at the max, since i think itunes music store only lets you download at 128Kbps, so they wont be as huge as a 320kbps file.

you dont have to take them out of your library, just find where you saved them to on your computer. If you used itunes music store, there most likely in your My Documents/ My Music/ Itunes/ my Iutunes music folder. just make sure that you back them up.

If you cant find them go into itunes and Pres (Ctrl & ,) and that will bring up your options window. then go to the advanced tab and the box at the top will tell you where your files are saved to.

did you reinstall itunes? if so, then you need to check in the options window to see if you have the ipod set to a mass storage device, it should not be. if you bought the ipod legit from a store it has 1 yr. free tech support, id call them and they will be more than happy to help

You can burn cd's with itunes? Its says on the pic that bagz posted something about burning cd's. I looked in mine and theirs a tab for burning. How do you burn cd's using itunes?

all you have to do is make a playlist with the songs you want on the cd and then click the little burn wheel at the top right of the playlist window. its simple

I got this error message after running a registry cleaner and deleting the key that controls itunes burning feature. Just run the installer again and it should repair the option. Then download the latest ipod software and update your ipod. Then you should be good to go.

That's because Registry "clutter" is a Bullshit problem. Registry cleaners will do absolutely nothing (good at least) for you.

If you question this, look up the meaning of MCSE and apply it to me as a sign that I know what I am talking about.

I beg to differ....Ive had system crashes, booted in safe mode, ran the cleaner and all is well. I live by those things...always backup your registry too it is the brains of the operation...IMO at least.
