I've got the code for the bad input shaft sensor on my 96 and everytime I start the car I have to push info to get rid of the service transmission message. Is there any way other then getting it fixed ot get rid of the message?

A piece of electrical tape? :) I don't think there's any way to remove the message, it's there for a reason!

Everytime I see the message I just think of how close the car's value is getting towards the cost of repairing the problem.

Yes, but it's a 10 year old Cadillac, that I'm sure you paid FAR less than a new one, but enjoy just as much!
