I have a 2005 STS V8 with 20inch rims. I was out riding today and had the car up to 108MPH and I get this message saying that "Limited to 108 MPH". When I pressed on to speed up more it wouldn't go any faster.

I read the manual, section 3-83, and it says that this can happen if the vehicle detects a problem in the suspension system. I have never attepted to go past 101-105 before, so I don't have a reference point. I am setting up an appointment with the dealer tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

I am wondering if the 20inch wheels could be the "problem that the vehicles is detecting in the suspension."

Has anyone else experienced the Speed Limit issue with the larger diameter wheels???

I feel like an idiot...The car does go past the 108 mark on the speedometer (Analog) but not the digital. It stopd at 108 on the digital, but the Analog speedometer keeps on going..
