hi guys,
i was going to replace my ignition wires when i replace my spark plugs.
i already have the delco plugs., but when i called the dealer about the wires., they wanted a little over 200.00 for them.
that is just way too much.

autozone has a house brand for under 70.00., anyone have any experience with these ?
or.., anyplace online to get the original type wires for half of the dealer price ?

thanks,
kevin

Autozone's rep is a bit lackluster. Try
www.rockauto.com (http://www.rockauto.com)
www.gmotors.com (http://www.gmotors.com)
www.gmpartsdirect.com (http://www.gmpartsdirect.com)

I've used all three with good results. I've had the best results consistently with Rockauto.
YMMV, of course.

Where ever you get them, make sure you stick to Ac Delco. My 2 cents...

I think he A/C Delco wires for my '97 where about $120 or there abouts (delivered) from Rockauto. And I had them in 2 days!

Stick to AC Delco wires, no matter who you get them from. I got delco plugs through autozone, they can probably get the delco wires as well if they don't stock them or have them at a hub store. Rockauto is probably your best bet for an online store.

The dealer will stick it to you, if you didnt already know this. Stick to AC Delco OEM wires and you wont be sorry.

thanks guys..
i will try rockauto for the delco wires.

does this 97 eldorado have wires that are just wires and boots, or does it have the coil things built in ?

It'll be wires with boots at both ends.

90 degree boots go on the ignition coils, back side of the engine, passenger side.

The straight boots go into the holes onto the plugs.

Very simple when you see it.

The 2000+ have COP (Coil On Plug). They have no wires.
