Back when I was a kid we'd wind 'er up and turn the key off and then back on. A few really healthy muffler reports would open things up far enough to let more noise through. Meanwhile my dad was looking for the razor strap.

I don't think that would work on a fuel injected engine, but I know what you are talking about. I have split more than one muffler open right down the seam like it had a zipper.

you can open your cat up alittle. that will make it sound meaner even with stock mufflers.

If you want the sound of aftermarket mufflers, go put some aftermarket mufflers in. The whole job could cost maybe $50 if you used inexpensive mufflers and exhaust clamps (which may or may not actually hold together without leaking.)

I wish Corsa made a muffler system for the 97 deviles But i looks like i have to buy the seville system and make pipes then it will sound wicked.
