After flying to Florida to meet with Brett and Howard in regards to the Smiley Conspiracy, we came to a Deadlock in regards to your frequent, rampant, and quite dangerous smiley-abuse. Until further notice, you are banned from using smileys. We're in the process of writing to congress about this particularly sensitive situation that quite possibly may bring down the entire internet - or atleast change things as we know it. In the meantime, if you could refrain from attempting to use these dangerous smileys, we'd appreciate it.

It was someone else who was playing around with my user CP a few weeks ago that likely messed it up. :cookoo:

I had problems with the smileys a couple days ago too. Every time I cliked on one on the right all it would do was make the screen jump to the top. I could get the other page with all the smiles to open up but when I clicked on them in there nothing happened. Is this the same thing that was happening to you?

I dunno. I fixed it by reinstalling Netscape. I tried logging off and back on, deleting the cookies... a whole bunch of different things and none of them changed anything. Since Howard couldn't come up with much and no-one else said anything I thought it was just me. I didn't notice it until after the upgrade happened so maybe that had something to do with it?

It's very difficult to troubleshoot problems that only a few users are having. The software is still buggy, especially in area of browser rendering. These non-critical but nevertheless annoying "niggles" are the last things to be worked out before the final release. Although my Smilies have been fine, I (and a couple of others) have been having problems with the text disappearing in posts. If I could fix either problem I would. The good news is the next Release Candidate is due out any day and while not the final release many of the current bugs are corrected in it. We'll get it as soon as we can.

I may look a little grim, but I'm very nice.. I'm a people-mutant. They don't even make me go through the sensor thing.. I just pass on through.. They love me at night clubs. :D
