please don't , I think chrome doesn't belong on this car!
Maybe its cause im European and we don't buy chrome rims and dislike them.
Congrats and enjoy the ride!
Well what do you think vs your old XLR?

The XLR-V is a BIG difference because of the power of course and just feels alot better to me. But it had a ticking noise in the engine so now they have the whole top of the damn motor in a million pieces. :want: Cadillac is sending a new engine to my local dealership in Northern California i also asked for just a whole NEW car but wont give me a "NEW" car wich i think sucks major azz dont you think? So they said it will be fixed by next thursday. I asked if the value of the car will go down because one of my friends told me it would but cadillac said it wouldnt.. :want: So right now i have NO XLR-V :bighead:

What did the dealer say the noise is coming from?My local dealership doesnt know so they have to send it to Cadillac Headquarters and they are shipping a NEW one out.But i really would like just a whole new car but owell.Gonna call em right now see if they even shipped the motor out yet.. :rant2:
That color -really- brings out the lines.

Why would the whole car need to be replaced for an engine problem?

Absolutely chrome does not belong in large quantity on the XLR.
The XLR is much more european in styling. Slather your chrome all over an Escalade. They are already ugly ans flashy enough, especially for how cheap they are (quality, not price).
The worst thing I have ever seen was a 740i with wheels that might as well have been made from pizza pans. Talk about a hideous abomination!

The Escalde is DEFINETLY not ugly IMO but prob not gonna keep the XLR long.

What dealership is your XLR-V having the engine replaced at? Tell them to check the camphaser and make sure it is functioning correctly. A bad camphaser can make a ticking noise under the cam cover. Scares me that your dealership has the top of the engine in a million pieces. Quick checks are to check the caps on the camshafts that they are correct and check that the roller followers are in place over the valves. If you are not losing compression in the cylinders, then it is probably a bad cam phaser.
Let me know - Thanks
