My F1's lasted 21k miles. I can't find a decent deal on them in my locale (Las VEgas, NV) . What is a the best substitute?

most people (including me) got a warranty deal with goodyear for GS-D3's dont think they'll do much for you with 21k on them, that is pretty good miliage though, I got 8k out of mine.

Thanks! How do these tires stack up to the "Supercar's"?

Try the RSA EMT made by Goodyear, they have made a terrific improvement in the ride of my V:worship:

Nearly every auto magazine on the shelves has a full page Good Year ad exalting the Test that pronounced the GS D3 tire as the best performance tire available today. I donned them on my V (run flats worn out at 11,000 miles) the month before the Magazine test. I have to agree that the GS D3s are a great choice.

I think he misplaced the decimal point, which would still get him a record for either the most or least amount of miles out of the stock tires. :alchi:

I just put GS D3's on. 245/275's. Much better ride than the runflats and soooooo much quieter! Don't feel like they handle quite as well though. Kinda "mushy". I had 12k miles on the runflats and could have probably gotten another 2-3k but they were just making so much road noise I could barely hear the whine in my 2nd diff.

Very funny. I could hardly hear the whine of my diff over the Zoomers exhaust and the runflats, but I could still hear it. The dealer tech heard it and I had the diff replaced last week.

I have a file number established with Goodyear and have my own tire depth gauge. All of the tires are between 3/32 and 4/32 at 8,800 miles. Are we better of in terms of the Goodyear adjustment to have the dealer call in the tread depths now or wait until 10,000 miles when the tires will be down to 2/32? Would the credit be higher based on 2/32 at 10K?

Just got my GS-D3s yesterday from the Goodyear dealer as part of the credit on the runflats. My runflats had 15k (and here I thought I had done well!); they were tracking horribly toward the end and were getting pretty thin on tread.

I believe it was the February issue of Car and Driver (wouldn't you know, I just looked and found the Jan and Mar issues, but not Feb) that did a test, both dry and wet, with ten or so tires mounted on a 3-Series BM(gag)W (choke). The GS-D3 did quite well in dry and smoked everyone in the wet tests. Mine display a much softer ride, but beyond that I haven't had a chance to do much with them. For one thing, they LOOK pretty cool.
