I am wanting to buy wheels, but I don't want to step up to the 24" because I really need a nice ride. I was wondering if anyone rides 22s with a 45+ series tire. I think some 22s with some meaty tires with an aggressive treads would look pretty cool. Anyone do this, or is everyone stuck on the low-profile look? It seems you could steal some 22s compared to 24s.

If so, please post pics.

HCVONE,

Are you going to keep the factory 22" rims? I was thinking the same thing, but because the 305's are 20mm wider, I'm wondering if the 9" rim will handle it.

I've seen a set of 305's on an 8.5" rim, and it looked strange because of the sidewall bulge.

That is my plan now, ideal is 10" wide for that size tire, but 9 1/2" would be ok, some of the GM wheels I have had in the past were close to 1/2" wider than spec's, if not I will sell the wheels and tires as a package and get a set of Foose 22" wheels. I purchased a set of stock 2007 chrome 18" wheels that I am using to put my winter tires on the new truck, so I will have wheels of some kind.

i got some 305/45/22's on my whip and they ride much better than cadi's with smaller tires. Also i like them b/c they fill up the wheel wheel the much more. if you pick the right tire and wheel combo you will get are those 24's all day long. I had an umcomfy ride for ever so was not willing to sacrifice my 50K trucks ride to look good.
you may need to do some trimming up front of the guard plastics but no big deal. Which foose rims u looking at?

I would have 24's or 26's if I lived in Cali, spent a lot of time there when my GF was getting her medical degree, but the roads around here eat up 24's and 26's. :)

I just don't think 24s are PRACTICAL for me. I still would like to see some pics with 22s (with women in bikinis).

haha... i think 22's are very universal for the midwest... at least where i live cleveland... sometimes practicality over looks... sucks but its true...

They are some wild wheels, it must be painful to clean them. ;) How wide are they?

I mounted 305/45/22's on my Yukon 2+ years ago because I wanted better ride quality. I have the same set today and they still look good.

I do wonder how it would turn out if I lowered the truck with 45-series, anyone lower their Escalade with 305/45/22's ???

Will 305/45/22"s fit on a 9" Wide wheel and still look okay?
