I think its written in egyptian or something man. Back in ancient history. Go to the library, maybe there's a book in egyptian writing that might help. :)

I just saw one in a truck magazine a few days ago where they had a Astro van with the Escalade front clip. Weird looking, I would say. Stop by the magazine section and look it up. I forgot the name, but when I stop by again, I will let you know.

That's no Egyptian! It says 28" or twenty-eight inches. The numbers got cut in half, so you only see the top half of the number plus the inches sign.

Totally agree. Peice of art.
Looks great, but nothing like what T&T Motorsports & Big Baller Wheels did.

Both my clients and were the first to install an Escalade grille on an H2.

Thats the one I was talking about in an earlier post. T&T Motorsports and Big Baller Wheels did that. Nice install.

One word...UGLY.

I have never understood taking a caddy grill and putting it on another vehicle. I see Chevy/GMC trucks with caddy grills on them often, that is just plain stupid. You arent fooling anybody. If you want a caddy grill...buy a caddy.

I hate when people do that, at least the pricey 28's make up for something.....dont they?

- ok, they dont

Nahhh, the wheels dont make up for it, lol.

The grill thing ruins it for me. That makes about as much sense as me going to Wal-Mart and buying some shoes, then super-glueing a Nike sign on them.

Actually that would be more like going to footlocker, buying some adidas shoes and then slapping a nike symbol on em.

And just for the record, I think it looks like shit. I liked the black one when I first saw it, but this one looks like ass.

I always run over to the car audio section. $20 subs...

A friend of mine spent over $250 on car audio junk from Wal-mart for his F-150, then brought it over to my house and asked if I would help him install it. I told him to take everything back to Wal-mart and return it.

I agree 100%, you get what you pay for...which leads me back to my original point...if you want a caddy grill, buy a caddy. If you want to modify/customize the caddy grill on your CADDY, that is another story.

When my friends and i ride around and see some other kind of vehicle with a caddy grill on it, we just laugh.

Have you ever been to a show? What do you currently drive right now? Is the 07 your first Escalade?

Just curious. If you've been to a show, you'll notice that not only do you get props for doing front end conversions but points are given from judges. I don't blame anyone for putting an Escalade grille/front end on a vehicle.

I do think its dumb when you see a suburban with Escalade body parts, from front to back. Now thats dumb! I saw something like that on ebay. The guy purchased all Escalade body parts for the outside of his Yukon XL (or suburban, I don't know...) and made a complete Escalade conversion.

Makes me wonder why you would do that. The time spent building that Yukon XL to look like an Escalade ESV could of been spent mowing lawns to make up for the difference from a brand new Yukon XL and Escalade ESV.

In my book - no props there!

I have nothing against people doing conversions. I admit, some 'import' cars look good with the conversions, but some vehicles just dont look good. It all depends i guess. and doing a conversion for car shows are a great way of attacting the judges because its "different".

Anyhow, heres an example.

A 2gen Eclipse with stock headlights.

Now coverted/modified to Silvia/S15 headlights.

What i'm trying to say is, not all conversions are bad, but this H2/Escalade looks like booty to me. JMO.

No, my current vehicle is an 04 Avalanche (w/o body cladding/plastic). I have been to some shows though, it might "win over" judges...put i still think it is stupid, sorta like "posing" to change grills...JMO. Like i said, i can see changing a grill to something custom etc...but IMO, i think it is silly and fake to swap out a grill for the grill of another vehicle. It is like you are trying to act like your GMC truck is a Caddy when everybody knows it isnt.

Like i said, that is just my opinion.

Thanks.
