LOOLLL!! Ya know what though, that's ok, most Jada 1:24 scale cars can be interchanged with the chassis of another one. I'm gonna buy the Fleetwood Brougham Coupe and fix it....

Ahhh

its a southern thing... its how everyone does down here... they dont call it the Dirty South for nothing. its become more and more popular. people are taking the hydraulics out of their cars and putting that stuff on. i'll see if i can find a pic of my buddies Caprice. he's got an 85 Caprice w/ 26's on it. i told him his engine isnt gonna last much longer... according to him he is getting some engine mods and all done too it. bad thing is, its starting to grow on me... ugh, i can look at them and not get sick anymore... but i would never do it, i'd rather juice it. box and a donk donk... thats the thing.

I'd rather have a lowlowlowrider :grins:

I really dislike big wheels, I think they look stupid on our four wheel drive vehicle, they look shitty on regular cars!

I like the paint, but put 14" wires on it and juice it!

well, i guess the only thing better than a juiced Caprice is a juiced Fleetwood. i seen one with 24s or 26s or some ridiculous size that should be on an Escalade. i about threw up.

i dont care what kind of car you are rollin in you arent gonna get a second look when something like this rolls through

I HATE 14" WIRE WHEELS!!! I've NEVER understood them...I just don't get it, they look like crap to me...

The guy with the blue car and 26's should combine styles and add the wing and fartpipe to it...THAT'D be class!

:):D:)

Heh, we never had anything like that in NY.... come to FL, and BAM!

The sad part is... with stock drivestrain, steering, and brakes... the car is like major overload.

Hell, forget a Jeep, I may as well get a 1985 Caprice and get some 26's YO! Look at all that ground clearance! convert it to 4wd, Then add some BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires, some lockers...... I'd be pimpin hard..... in Moab....

lol...

Strangely enough, low riders are growing on me... and since I am going to have 2 Cadillac Broughams on hand, one is reserved for the 500 build... which will no doubt be my favorite.... but I am thinking of bagging the other... engine/drivetrain would stay stock etc... but I don't like 13" wheels, or even 14" wheels.... I would want to use my 15" spoked wheels... its the only way the cars look right...

you down in Memphis huh? im all the way up in the other corner, Kingsport. i was in Johnson City earlier and i seen 3 Caprices with 26s, 2 Cutlass' with 24s, and Cadillac Brougham with 26s on it. yup, definitely a Dirrty South thing. my cousin came down from Detroit and was like what the hell? actually it is starting to grow on me, i mean i wouldnt do it.

Rick- they change all that driveline and suspension and everything out. they know what they are doing when they do all this. the driveline in my friends Caprice is out of a 99 Silverado IIRC. i didnt help him build it so i dont know. when he told me that is what he was doing (takin the juice out) i about slapped him... wait i did slap him...

LOL!!

it just aint lowriding without 13s or 14s. trust me 14s look good, they are the perfect size. baggin it huh? what are you going with? im not much into bags. if out everything'd bags and i get all the looks, now its time for Urby's favorite STORY TIME WITH ~Low~!!!

im in a parking lot with my ex girlfriend in my Cutlass. guy rolls up next to me on some 13s in a Monte (78, its was nice). conversation goes something like this:

Monte: what's up man? nice lowlow.
Me: thanks, nice Monte.
Monte: thanks man, what are you runnin?
Me: 3 pump 8 batteries.
Monte: ah for real? i got fast bags.
Me: nice but you should get hydraulics.
Monte: nah man, too much upkeep.
Me: not really, i mean if you are a fat lazy bastard yeah.
Monte: *hits up switch wheels go off the ground an inch
Me: lock out the back end and proceed to hop the hell out of it, got over his hood while he was locked out (and my batts were dying).
Monte: damn man, maybe i'll look into some hydraulics.
Me: you should, and then when your shit can do this holler at.

he didnt like that last statement but i told everyone that. them mini truckers hated me. i'd always have a couple of their ladies in my car.

I don't get either style. I don't like the whole 14 inch lowrider look, I really don't like the 26 inch conestoga wagon look. Give me 15's with wire wheel covers and 1 1/2 white walls!!

ive seen the regal diecast int he real life version ....i had to look at it becuse i couldnt figure out how they lifted it , but it sits EXACTLY like the diecast , appars to be done on GM truck parts ...it had to be at least 3 feet fromt he bottom of the car to the ground ...ill take a pic next week , he works up the street

yup thats what they use... most of them guys anyway. yeah i have seen the Regal's and the Cutlass' in real life too. i think it was two years ago when this style first started (or when i seen it) and i was like that is stupid, it will never last. now two years later i am sitting back saying what the hell? oh well, its alright now though. i mean there is alot of work that goes into it. i think the first couple cars i seen like that were 90s Buick Roadmasters and 70 & 80 model Caprices/ Impalas.

I don't really like hydros, I would want the airbags... I woudln't want to hop the car either, I know the hydros are alot better for hopping. I have no clue on any of it, I just thought it would be neat... hell, I may even make it a lowrider... without hydros etc... just lower the suspension.

I still don't like 14's.... my Oldsmobile has 14" steelies with wire hubcaps and white walls.... that looks ok, its a smaller car... but not on the big body.

I like my 15" spoked wheels and regular white walls....

yeah 15s on something stock look good... but if it was juiced or bagged it just wouldnt look right. i dont know if i would juice a 70s model Cadillac... i seen a 74 Fleetwood Brougham with 22s and it looked like you could get 24s under it without any problem. i would go that route if i had a 70s model Caddy. but anything 80-96 Fleetwood or RWD Deville would be sittin on 14s and juiced without second thought.

Rockin' that HT4100 pride! Nice hubcap emblems, you never see them that nice.

They look like that because I pulled each hubcap off and repainted them. It was really painstaking but totally worth it. That picture is kinda old, those hubcaps look sick now, I figured out how to take them apart and totally detailed them.
