My dad's got an old '86 300zx he wants to sell to me for a grand. I was wondering if i should do this so i can have a back up car for when the caddy is being worked on. The problems are that it's got 300k miles on it, it's an auto trans, and it's a NA (NON-TURBO). I know my dad took great care of it and never beat the shit out of it, but still it's old with high milage. I was just wondering if I should do it.

non turbo ? automatic ?
shoot for a beater you cant get much beatter itd be more reliable than a turbo 5 speed ..
i say if the price is right go for it , esp if he only wants around a grand for it

I mean it'd be perfect for my subs and all set up in there, but I'm concerned about the 300k milage. If i'm going to buy a sports car i want to haul ass in a sports car. Doesn't go too fast. Although i have drivin it before and it's a hell of a lot better than my mom's CRV.
