Brand new SLK? Then the SLK.

SLK hand's down. The new 171 chassis is much, much nicer than the Z4. Sure BMW may even have the new Z4 M model, but the SLK55 would still blow it away. The SLK looks nicer, and overall is a much better car in terms of quality and craftsmanship. To me, the Z4 is just a warmed over Z3. Sure it's different, but is it different enough? The new SLK on the other hand, couldn't be more differnet than the previous 170 model.

The new SLK, absolutely. That weird Mclaren nose has grown on me much more than Bangle's flamer styling.

If you're a guy, I'd say the BMW Z4 M. If you're a woman, then the SLK500. The BMW is a more masculine car while the SLK500 is more of a "chick" car. I know BMW has had a lot of problems with the convertible top on the Z4, you better watch out for that.

The problem with the Z4 M is it's starts at the 51,000 price range +options. If I was going to get a Z4, it would only be the M version, but it's beyond what he's talking about.

I looked at the SLKs before going with the V, but in the end I wanted the AMG (engine HP), and the SLK 55 has the AMG motor, but if you want the AMG package that's another 7000.00 + options. M.B. can kiss my grits to sell me an AMG car and then want another 7K for the AMG package. :rant2:

yeah thanks for your answers, id go for the slk too but from what i seen it looks kinda small. i dont know, it has the same lenght as the z4 yet it looks kinda small, can anyone confirm that?

The chick car is quicker and handles better.

the SLk ofcourse, Z4 has nothing on the 500

what you guys think of the slk 200? its the same size only less power but i dont care about power so i will go for that if i go for slk.

I'd go with the Z4. One of the Bangle designs that I actually like.

little update: i went to a mercedes partner today who had a huge showroom with dozens of cars and had a look at the slk 200 today. im not so impressed, its a real small car and like the guy said, its more of a female car. but i also saw an SL (500 i think) today and what a bitch of a car i have to say.

its longer than the slk and also a roadster. but priced at 107 grand it just blows my budget limits.
